Raun Melmed, M.D., FAAP, is a developmental and behavioral pediatrician, area director of Cortica Scottsdale and co-founder/medical director of the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center. He is the author of the Monster Diary mindfulness series for children and of books for families impacted by autism.
KIND supports Kids with Invisible Neurological Differences. They are the parents, caregivers, friends and advocates for kids whose brains work differently than their peers, but have no outwardly visible disability. Founder Kari Baker is the author of the book Finding Kind.
Brandy Schillace, Ph.D., is an autistic, nonbinary author, historian, mystery writer and editor (who grew up in an underground house next to a cemetery with a pet raccoon). Though Brandy can’t attend the festival, she has donated many copies of her books and 100 percent of the sales will benefit SEEDs.
Dr. Greg Moody with KarateBuilt.com Martial Arts and Publishing, with books ranging from leadership skills, bullying and working with kids with autism. He will be at the festival to chat and sign books, and is donating 100 percent of his event book sales to SEEDs.
Sowing Seeds is a collection of writing and poetry created by adults on the autism spectrum who are participants at SEEDs. Several of the contributors will be in attendance at the festival to chat and sign books.
Debut novelist Jacob Hubbard presents “Sounds of Yesterday,” a breakup story told from the perspective of an autistic person.
SEEDs Garden of Treasures features hand-crafted home and garden items, jewelry, toys, and other products created by adults on the autism spectrum in artisan trades like metalwork, woodwork, weaving, ceramics, and much more. The Thrift Boutique includes gently used items for sale and provides SEEDs participants vocational training and workplace experience.
Adventure ABA provides in home, clinic, and school services in the Phoenix Valley.
