The Writer’s Scene is an exhibit area of the Arizona Author Book Festival featuring nonprofit organizations and businesses that serve and highlight the robust writing community in Arizona.

Whether you’re published or an aspiring writer, it’s a wonderful opportunity to meet kindred spirits and make new friends, hang out with old friends and colleagues, and build a foundation for mutual support among writers and readers.

The Writer’s Scene vendors are:

  • Arizona Authors Association – a 501c3 helping authors, editors and publishers promote their work.
  • Coyote Story – created by Jeremy Lee Koehn, an author and producer offering illustration services
  • Historical Novel Society-Arizona Chapter – a group of readers and writers who love historical fiction; groups meet quarterly alternating between the Tucson- and Phoenix-metro areas.
  • Phoenix Oasis Press – an oasis of inspiration and support for Arizona’s aspiring, established, and I’m-not-really-a-writer writers.
  • Remarkably Made – a Kingdom-minded publishing company and storefront for bookish merchandise.

April is Autism Awareness Month and the free community festival is a fundraising event for SEEDs for Autism. This  nonprofit organization provides a path from “learning to earning” for young adults with autism through education, vocational training, and social development; 100 percent of the money paid for sponsorships and vendor tables at the festival supports SEEDs programs and operations.
